Hiking

This was their first overnight hiking/camping trip. Max carried the tent the whole way in, Adelaide nearly made it all the way with her borrowed backpack. Everyone was in bed by 7:30 and Tim had to rouse them at 7:30 the next morning. The walk out was apparently much slower (being uphill) and required much more bribery encouragement/carrying.

I reckon 2km counts as a hike when your legs are little!

I think that's a fantastic effort for a little fella - shows me how pampered our kids are!

looks nice and green, kids always seem to find their centre when walking through forests.

Way to go kiddlywinks! I have no doubt bribery in the form of a packet of jelly snakes would have helped shape our version of that hike.

i have photos just like this of me and my sister hiking and camping in the Warrumbungles, northern NSW. I feel a bit sad that i haven't yet given my kids this experience. well done little legs!

Um maybe I should convince my hubby to take the older boys up Mt. Wellington and I stay home with the 9 mth old... Good idea!

Yes my little one is a bit snuffly and wanting to be with me a lot as well. I suspect it is teeth this time.
