Friday foraging

With the price of fruit & vegetables I'm trying to turn Fridays into our 'at home' day where we can get some work in the garden done, do some preserving or just wander the neighbourhood collecting fruit from neighbours, overgrown lane ways or overhanging trees. Here is today's collection for the freezer/fruit bowl.

peaches, blackberries & plums (minus those consumed on the walk home!)

Lucky you! I am struggling without any fruit trees and a very, very fruti-mad family! x

Good to see you back : o )

So lucky to have neighbours with overflowing trees/bushes - I am not brave enough to pick our neighbours!!!!

Our basil did poorly this year - I hear most of southern Tasmania has this problem. Our blueberries were tasty but a very small crop - argh. We hope to plant a new batch of raspberries when new canes are out...

Sounds like you live in a little utopia! I'm a fairly new blogger and keep finding myself drawn to Tassie bloggers! What a lovely idea for your Fridays. I look forward to seeing more of your bounties and coveting from my fruitless rental property! just beautiful.

This definitely looks like summer to me! As a child, I deemed summer had come when I could pinch mangos and passionfruit on the walk home from the beach. The fruit is different, but the sentiment the same.
