two

It's true (according to the calender)

Leo is two today

Our wispy-haired mud-loving baby is officially a little boy

Leo decided the best method to celebrate was to wake last night about the time my waters broke 2 years ago and then fidget in our bed for the next 3 hours until finally going back to sleep about the time of his actual birth. Despite the lack of sleep we managed to all squeeze into our bed for the present unwrapping and happy-birthday singing. He now has a larger baby doll to drag around, just like the one he tries to take from Adelaide most days.

A flurry of baby-doll dressing ensued

Adelaide also selected a new drawing book for him

A little cake-eating yet to come, best get baking....

Happy Birthday Leo! Hope you get heaps more squishy cuddles to end your day with. How funny he was awake/ unsettled around the time when he was born, i'd beleive there was something in that if I were you! Adelaide is getting more gorgeous every day! And what an easy kid to buy for- a doll and a book! Too happy.

How exciting- my 'baby' turned 2 a couple of weeks ago and I'm still a little miffed about it. And how exciting you have a new baby coming along...

oh and congrats on your new bump. 6 in your wee house - now that's a challenge IKEA would love to help you with. i hope you stay well!

we have a suitcase of dolls clothes rather like yours. it was my grandfather's, and it is much larger and all for a handful of dolls not much played with these days. school makes for busy kids with not much playtime. well not playtime that evolves over hours and days into complex imaginery games. oh well, i should be glad to have my dining table back for sewing rather than as an almost-permanent cubby house like in years gone by.

aw - did you make that doll? What a star you are. What a house of doll loving that is! sounds like a beautiufl day if a bit of a wakeful night. He must have been reliving it all.
