recovery

When I said I liked days with the kids at home I should have been more specific

To clarify :: I LIKE HAVING DAYS AT HOME WITH WELL CHILDREN!!

rather than a weeks worth of children with gastro/flu

Sick kids are just long days with extra dollops of whining, cuddles, snot and in this case vomit .

We got through it with the aid of:

Playdough

Full moon yard-camping

The work bench.
Working with (real) tools is definitely one of my kids favourite activities

I have since blotted that week from my memory and we are all now all back to health (fingers crossed) and the bottom of the washing basket was briefly spotted on the weekend (a rare site in these parts)

In amongst it all we implemented our divide & conquer policy and moved Addie & Leo into my sewing room / junk room the spare room. While all the kids were happy to remain in the same room they have always been in, it was starting to get squishy. With Reuben mostly sleeping through at night (don't say that out loud) he has moved in with Max, unless he does wake and comes back into our bed.
The project I started before all this sickness started is now complete

:: bedhead before

see that wooden piece above the pillow
perfect for banging your head on when your only entry technique is run-and-dive!

:: bedhead after

A different room and a slightly more padded bedhead
so far so good
